Over 100 hundred opposition figures were arrested during today's protest rally on the Fountain Square. They were taken to the Police Offices of Nasimi, Sabail and Yasamal districts, according to the secretary of "Public Chamber" and the deputy chairman of the "Musavat", Gulaga Aslanli.

He said that it was impossible to call to the detainees, because their phones did not respond. For 17:00 on Monday, none of the detainees had been released.

Aslanli noted that police was tough. Thus, among the victims are the 75-year-old Sudaba Kerimova. Ambulance was called to the headquarters of “Musavat” party to provide her medical assistance; Vasif Sadygbeyli and Elnur Askerli, and some others were also injured.

Baku police and Interior Ministry do not provide information on the number of detainees in the course of today's action.

Note that this is the second event conducted by the opposition after the Parliament repeatedly increased fines for participating in unauthorized demonstrations. However, it does not frighten the opposition.
