Hundreds of people have been demonstrating on Fountains Square in the center of the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, to raise awareness about the deaths of young army conscripts. 

Police set new record for number of detained protesters (video)

Over 100 hundred opposition figures were arrested during a protest rally on the Fountain Square. They were taken to the Police Offices of Nasimi, Sabail and Yasamal districts, according to the secretary.

 Police brutally suppressed the opposition rally to demand the dissolution of parliament on Fountain Square. The rally was scheduled for 15.00. As soon as the first group of protesters, chanting slogans such as "Freedom", "Resign!", appeared in the square, the policemen detained them by force.

All approaches to Fountain Square are blocked by police, who check all the people going to the center of the capital.
